What Is Cosmillion? The Daily Rarest-Answer Game Explained

What is Cosmillion? It is a free daily word game on the web where you name something from a category, such as an insect, a dessert or a type of tea, and the rarer your answer is, the more points it scores. Everyone gets the same seven prompts each day, and a perfect chart is 700 points. Launch #1 went live on October 16, 2026. This page collects the facts in one place, and the guides on how to play Cosmillion and Cosmillion ranks and scoring go deeper.

What is Cosmillion? The short answer

Cosmillion is a daily "rarest answer wins" game: you get a prompt like "Name an insect", type one answer in 25 seconds, and score from 10 points for the most common answers to 100 for the rarest. Seven prompts make one launch, and the total is out of 700. The rank names run from Tourist to One in a Galaxy, and a shareable result shows your score and a row of coloured squares.

The trick is that the obvious answer is worth the least. "Ant" or "Bee" for an insect lands at the bottom of the ladder, while an obscure order of insects can reach the top. You can browse real examples in the Cosmillion archive.

How a Cosmillion launch works and the Cosmillion reset time

A launch is the day's set of seven prompts, and the Cosmillion reset time is 00:00 in India, which is 18:30 UTC. Launches are numbered from #1 on October 16, 2026, and each is labelled with its India date, so launch #20 is November 4. If you live in the US, the new board arrives at 1:30 pm Eastern Standard Time the day before its label.

Each prompt gives you 25 seconds to type. Answers are checked against a fixed curated list for that prompt, roughly 150 to 470 accepted answers each, and every entry has a rank. It is not a live vote and not an AI judge, so a sensible answer that is not on the list is simply rejected and you can keep trying until the clock ends. Close typos turn into a "did you mean" that you confirm. The full rules are in how to play Cosmillion.

Rank by rank, the points are explained in the Cosmillion ranks guide. To see how it plays out, open Cosmillion answers for November 4 or today's Cosmillion answers today.

Is Cosmillion free? Free versus All Access

Yes: one launch a day is free on cosmillion.com. All Access is a one-time $4.99 purchase that unlocks unlimited play, the archive of past launches and themed packs, so replaying yesterday on the official site needs the paid unlock. We could not find a subscription or ads on the official site when we checked on November 4, 2026.

If you only want more practice, our Cosmillion Unlimited is free and offers both the official question bank and prompts we wrote ourselves, with a choice of timers.

Who makes Cosmillion

Cosmillion has no named publisher on its site; the only contact we found is a general email address. It closely follows Krillion, a rarest-answer game at krillion.io: the same seven prompts, 25 seconds each and the same point ladder, with different rank names. We compare them side by side in Cosmillion vs Krillion, and if you enjoy the format, see games like Krillion.

Which Cosmillion site is which

Several sites use the name, and only one is the game itself. This is how we tell them apart.

What is Cosmillion Online, and how it fits in

We are an independent fan site. The Daily Chart uses our original prompts: seven prompts, 25 seconds, resetting at 00:00 UTC, with star names from Dim Speck to Quasar. Unlimited also includes the official question bank, preserving its published answer tiers. We publish dated pages for every opened launch, starting from the Cosmillion archive.
